Hull University Business School offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees in Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Economics, Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
Business School undergraduates are offered the opportunity to do a placement for a minimum of 40 weeks. This allows them to gain professional experience and acquire practical skills that will help them prosper more quickly once they begin their professional careers.
The University partners with Higher Education Institutions in more than 20, which allows it to offer students multiple study abroad opportunities. Business School undergraduates can spend a year abroad in the third year of their program in order to gain international experience, explore a new culture and meet new people. Students can also participate in summer schools abroad and gain extra credit or use the credits they gain to replace their free elective at the next level of their studies.
Campus & Student Life
The Business School’s lecture theatre is one of the largest lecture theatres on campus. The School has a Technology Innovation Hub, which allows students to gain hands-on experience and businesses to interact with technologies in order to discover ways of improving their logistics and supply chain operations. Business School students have access to all shared computer suites around campus, but also have three facilities dedicated specifically to them. These facilities include the School’s Bloomberg suite. The campus is equipped with multiple flexible spaces which are designed to meet all students’ learning and relaxation needs. The School offers its students access to several industry-standard databases as well.
The Brynmor Jones Library is the University’s library, which contains numerous resources that support students’ learning. It is also equipped with state-of-the-art technology and study spaces.
Apart from study facilities, the Business School has its own Derwent Café, where students could take a break from their work and catch up with friends.
Career & Alumni
The University’s Centre for Professional Success puts a lot of effort into connecting students to businesses. It supports students in gaining the skills and experience required for their future careers by offering placements and internships, short-term employer projects and assignments, career events, individual advice on job searching, e-mentoring for alumni and a lot more.
The Business School has over 1,000 alumni. The Alumni community of the School helps former students to stay connected with each other and the School, which could open up many professional opportunities. Alumni are also entitled to access to different resources and support to aid their professional development.
