the lectures and seminars are insightful and up-to-date with modern cultural, political and social events. The course I am speaking of is the MA theatre studies degree in which we learn about theatre practitioners, theories of theatre making and putting it into practice by devising. This being said oftentimes it can feel as if the lecture or tutor feels uncomfortable or out of depth when talking about certain issues of racism in theatre, or other cultures and their theatrical practices given the fact that majority of the teachers are of White European decent.
