The university is based in a beautiful city providing a wonderful, rich cultural experience. It can be expensive and it is a little limited on ethnic diversity though; which is a shame. As the university itself it is resting on prestige without putting in imput to drive improvements in the student experience. My programme fell short of expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

As an international student, I have been provided with various resources to cope with the challenges I have incurred. Recently, however with the strikes there have been some negative feelings regarding the staff.
View moreMy first one-year study abroad period at the UOE was one of the most memorable and unforgettable year for me. Although it was stressful sometimes, I managed to overcome this one year because of helpful and friendly people including teachers and my colleagues. I learned how to manage my time effectively, how to do self-learning, and how to apply the advanced technology for searching reliable data and continuous learning. I met and made many friends who were from diverse backgrounds and different countries. I learned a lot from them, too. Now I have friends from different parts of the world that I am really proud of. Moreover, this one year course made me to get back my self-confidence again. The UOE and the Edinburgh will always be my second home away from my home.
