Great University, many Opportunities!

Being a student at one of the top universities in the nation is in itself an incredible opportunity for growth and development. I study psychology here and I can’t say that I have been disappointed with the teaching. In fact, partial online learning which I was very worried about, has turned out to be a great idea as it gives flexibility in learning, and allows to pause whenever needed and replay. However, the only thing that I can think of being a downside of studying at Durham, is definitely the major supermarkets like Tesco or Lidl being on the other side of town. There are buses of course, but these aren’t very reliable ( I learned it the hard way, unfortunately). Many students opt into going to a smaller Tesco in the city centre as an alternative. In terms of social life, I believe it’s great, there are also many opportunities to meet people such as events organised by colleges so there is honestly an option for everybody! There are many international students, which for me is one, is a huge comfort and makes dealing with similar issues easier! Amazing and helpful professors!
