My experience at the City university of London was interesting, to say the least. I spent my first term doing online classes as a distance learner eventually transitioning into the campus in January for the second term. Whilst being familiar with online distanced classes due to being part of the class of 2020 which had the end of year exams cancelled and uni entries being restricted due to the dawn of the COVID 19 pandemic, finally being on campus felt reassuring as I truly thought that this when my higher education would start. However, online learning was still a very large component of this new style of learning that was introduced at City when I arrived. It was called blended learning and it allowed me to be on campus and online whilst participating in my course. The city handled this with a relative challenge as the program was still getting used to the re-entry of local and international students following the state of a pandemic. Nevertheless, my International Politics and Sociology course was still interesting and engaging.
