Mixed Feelings

My opinion on university life at City St George’s is heavily dependent on my unique circumstances – like living at home! Living at home makes it hard to fully immerse myself as it takes an extra push to truly get used to things. From what I have observed, this uni has good staff and facilities. Professors are eager to help but they are slightly more hard to reach due to the university structure. I will say my course- journalism is fairly interesting but i have had many times where i completely questioned this course. I didn’t have many expectations but there are parts of this course that aren’t particularly interesting to me which is why I am open minded about my career path. Lecturers let us be fairly independent which is good on one hand but can also be very stress inducing especially as first years who don’t know what we’re doing. I haven’t been able to make many friends as I find it hard to connect with people in class. Although I do miss the school structure, university is definitely more character building and a good way to challenge yourself in many many ways.
