The environment both around the university and city but also within classes is one that feels incredibly non-judgemental, opening up the space for creativity and learning. This continues into their disability support systems that allow disabled students to interact with materials in the ways that are manageable for them.
While the academic side of the university is overall a positive atmosphere then this does not extend to the university housing. The Talybont admin/pastoral team in particular can have a hostile attitude towards students with housing issues. In addition to this there is a call out fee for security and the accommodation itself is regularly unlocked due to the locks being broken, furthermore, vital repairs can take weeks and there is no rental compensation for this.
