Good uni, bad location

The main thing that stood out for me and my course was the lecturers. I did psychology and the lecturers often went above and beyond for the interests of their students. It was really evident that they cared about us and the quality of our education.

The only drawback that I can think of is the location of the campuses. There are two campuses; Llandaff and Cyncoed, both being about an hour walk away from the city center. Depending on which halls you were allocated in, your accommodation could be this far too! Although this is handy in the week as it means you could roll out of bed and walk to uni in 20 minutes, it often meant you were sacrificing the social aspect of uni being so far away from the city centre. Unless you don’t mind catching the bus or Ubering everywhere you go, this can really be a pain and can leave you feeling a bit left out. This was only really an issue for the first year though, as you ultimately get to choose where you live for the second and third year.

Other than this, Cardiff Met is a great uni and I recommend it.
