The university is a good university in my opnion, the teachers know what they are talking about and are clearly qualfied in their field. However, sometimes some are not as interactive making an interesting subject quite boring, however great news as not all teachers are like this. In terms of the uni itself its a good uni and has everythin you need all in one place as it’s a campus university.
View moreThe University of Kent is a melting pot of culture and opportunity. There is a place for everyone. With a vast extracurricular program that consists of many sports clubs like tennis, football, cheerleading; there are also extracurriculars for those who have interest in art and humanities. The university is a campus university which is something I personally really like. All the buildings are in one site and within walking distance of each other. The only thing to consider is that the university is on a hill so you’ll build some strong legs if you decide to walk to campus from the town centre. However the two dedicated university busses go to many different locations around the campus. I would definitely recommend the University of Kent to each and everyone. The supportive staff, friendly students and great opportunities have me enjoying my now almost three years there.
View moreI have really enjoyed my time at the University of Kent. But more so the range of opportunities that allow you to socialise whether academically or socially. The availability of many societies have allowed me to meet new people and engage in unique experiences I probably would not have thought to engage in such as sport societies and language clubs. I would definitely recommend this university to students who want an equal balance between social and academic aspect of university.
View moreThere was a great choice of modules in my course and the ability to be able to choose specific ones of interest was important to me. Good support and services were available and were made aware of them. Lecturers and teachers were supportive and understanding during the Pandemic.
View moreI completed 4 years at UKC (BA in Liberal Arts + MA in Sociology) and both programmes were extremely insightful. The liberal arts program is an avant-garde, interdisciplinary learning experience that I would highly recommend, as it (especially at Kent) allowed students to explore freely their interests across subjects. The graduate sociology school and research program are notorious and I have had incredible teachers, who have stimulated new interests and passions in me. The campus provides many opportunities to do sports or arts and the town (Canterbury) is in itself very small and quiet, but when students arrive or are out the town becomes lively! In my opinion one of the best student towns in England. It’s also close to London (only 1 hour by train!).
