When I started the foundation year, I struggled to see the relevance of some of the subjects to my media degree. At the time, they felt disconnected from what I wanted to pursue. However, as I moved further into the course, I realized how important that foundation was—especially in developing critical thinking, research skills, and a broader understanding of media in context.
