The university has been such a supportive university and the lectures go above and beyond for their students. Such a great place to connect and network with different people in different courses. Honestly it’s been amazing
View moreBIMM Bristol is a great uni if you are looking to joining the music industry after graduating but that’s it… it is a very industry based university, note how it’s based in a musical city and you’re taught by industry professionals so it’s very biased. It is actually a really good uni the lectures are amazing and the uni itself has such a great a vibe to it but just like everything it has it’s faults… The only major faults I feel to mention is that 1) It doesn’t feel like I’m at uni, I feel like I’m at college. We don’t have a typical university campus we just have two buildings on either side of the city centre where our lesson will be across. 2) When it comes to academic lessons we don’t have desks to write on, we have to write on our laps or bring a laptop in which is not great because I love writing notes but it’s soo uncomfortable having to rest on my knees and do that. 3) They tell you to book practice rooms and do a lot of band practice but there are very limited spaces to do so. These 3 points are the only real problems I’ve faced at BIMM Bristol and besides that, the staff are lovely and so helpful! Student support is honestly the best which is nice for anyone that is struggling. If you are looking to go into the music industry after graduating BIMM is the place to be because they have so many links and also provide with so many opportunities to network.
