I’m in my first year at uni, and wow—it’s been a ride. I chose the double-degree option, which means I’ll graduate with two diplomas. Sounds awesome, right? It is. The program’s really flexible, so I can build my own schedule.
But here’s the real deal: it’s twice the work. More assignments, more reading, and less free time. They don’t go easy just because it’s a double major. Still, the classes are interesting, and the teachers really know their stuff. I feel like I’m learning things that actually matter. The workload is heavy, but the experience is totally worth it.
View moreI love that the University of Brighton fosters a learning strategy that encourages students to actively participate in their studies. Students gain a better understanding of the material when they are encouraged to explore and investigate topics independently. I found this technique to be really beneficial, and I am convinced that it will serve me well in my future academic endeavors. Overall, my experience at the University of Brighton was great, with helpful teachers, guidance resources, and a diverse selection of courses and flexible scheduling options that met students’ needs.
View moreEntering my first year of university I didn’t know what to expect, The word University just puts things into a bigger context, socialising with people of different ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and different languages.
I would definitely say tutors and lecturers do put the effort into making everyone feel comfortable and let you know that they are there to help you every step of the way, whether it’s not a course-related subject.
I still yet have some getting used to in regards to the program as my first year did consist of hybrid learning and I wasn’t fully in touch.
View moreModules were absolutely shocking at times. I was barely learning anything to do with architecture. I was being taught the bare minimum. Some tutors were terrible and mean. Spoke to students as if they were stupid. They would love to embarrass students in front of other people. There is a massive difference between giving constructive criticism and being rude.
