The Cloud Computing module was one of the highlights of my course at Queen’s. It covered the fundamentals of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud in detail. The best part was the group project where we designed and deployed our own cloud-based application. The hands-on experience was invaluable, and the support from the faculty was excellent. I would highly recommend this module to anyone interested in this field.
View moreThe Data Structures and Algorithms module was both challenging and rewarding. It provided me with a strong foundation in problem-solving and coding. The assignments pushed me to think critically and come up with efficient solutions. While the pace was fast, the teaching assistants were very approachable and helpful. This module is an essential building block for anyone pursuing Computer Science.
View moreThe course that I am taking at Queen’s University Belfast is Computer Science with one year of professional experience. In other words, we have a chance to find a placement to apply for real-world experience, which is fantastic for future career development. I am currently an intern at Liberty IT and everything has been so far so good.
The cons part of the program I would say is that the content of the courses at school are not really updated and well suited with the current movement of new life, which means basically, we need to learn everything like from scratch when entering the professional environment.
The Web Development module was extremely practical and relevant. From HTML and CSS basics to advanced JavaScript frameworks, we covered a lot of ground. The final project, where we had to build a fully functional web application, was a great way to showcase what we learned. The course materials were detailed and easy to follow. I feel much more confident in my web development skills after completing this module.
