At its core, NYUAD maintains its focus on a liberal arts education with an emphasis on building critical skills and a global outlook necessary for its students to become seekers and solvers of problems in the future. On the other hand, making good use of the NYU global network, student research is also of great importance, which leads to a good balance in the education that one obtains from their time at NYUAD.View more

NYUAD is a university that highlights the holistic development of its student body and encourages them to be diverse and global citizens, not just by theory, but by practically assessing and living the situation. The university has world-class facilities and a vast global network which it utilizes to make the aforementioned a reality. The student body, administrative offices, faculty, and management are extremely welcoming and help create an inclusive and enriching environment. The university has a strict acceptance policy which entails that most of your peers will be as talented as you and this helps in building up a stimulating environment to help you academically and otherwise. All in all, it is a fantastic university with one of the best facilities, faculties and future prospects.View more

NYUAD has been the best choice that I’ve made in a long time. The financial aid is incredible, the student body is very diverse, and the opportunities are endless. They arguably have the best financial aid in the world. In terms of opportunities, sky’s the limit! There are a ton of funding for clubs, internships, travel, study away, classes, sports, and more! I’ve also really enjoyed getting to explore the UAE as well as the opportunity to study aborad around the world! Lastly, The university truly cares about their student body and it has shown during the COVID pandemic.View more
Residential life is pretty good. There’s a student group for anything. The community is small, so it’s easy to become close with your peers and the faculty, who are usually passionate about their work. Living in Abu Dhabi is also a huge plus. The city has plenty of art and entertainment and there is the best cuisine from any country. If you can’t find what you want in AD, just take a weekend to Dubai. The Emirati people and culture are also fairly welcoming, and will help guide you through the sometimes awkward transition to living in the UAE. On the flip side, the food in the cafeteria sucks, rumours travel fast, and the laws of the country might sometimes interfere with typical notions of “fun.” However, you can go eat other places, be smart about your friends, and adapt with an open mind to the culture you walk into.View more
The university has one of the most diverse student bodies in the world. For example, the class of 2021 is made up of 361 students coming from 88 different countries. Only 14% of the class of 2021 is made up of local Emiratis.
The university takes advantage of NYU’s Global Network and offers many opportunities to travel and study abroad.
Most students receive full or partial scholarships.
However, due to the fact that the campus opened less than 10 years ago, NYU Abu Dhabi is not yet easily recognizable.View more
