Student review [#17677] for Accounting
at American University of Sharjah

I am a junior majoring in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah. I have completed over 70 credits (Approximately 24 courses). I have taken courses from almost all schools that include engineering courses to economics to liberal arts and sciences etc. There is no doubt that I love and enjoy my Computer Science courses such as programming, communication networks, discrete math. But the class that I enjoyed and loved in these 2 years of my time at AUS is “ENG 204 – Advanced Academic Writing”. This course was simply enjoyable because of the friendliness of the professor and the material/content that it offered the students. We had group discussions with our cool professor where we talked about the topics which interest us, how to provide the right support strategies and to provide strong arguments. It made me realize the need to provide clarity to the audience and the style of an academic paper. I also realized the power of writing and how it affects people’s minds by simply connecting with different people. Finally, the course taught me on how to effectively connect with the audience and to deliver high quality content to the audience.
