Studying at LNU was my dream for many years as it is supposed to be one of the best universities in Ukraine. Through four years of studies I understood that my objectives were too high and, unfortunately, I didn’t receive what I was promised. The educational system is quite old-fashion, there’s a lack of practice and too much material that is unapplicable in the real life. Nevertheless, there’re many dedicated professors who make a great effort to apply modern methods to the curriculum and give the students the maximum they can. With that being said, I wouldn’t recommend you this university if you are looking for modern approaches to education.

I really don’t like this university. Some professors are rude and strange, don’t explain the material as it should be done. They twice lost my documents and said I did not bring it. The studying process is badly organised, we receive our schedule 1-2 days before studying should start, we receive the dates of our exams one-two weeks before their start.

Ivan Franko University is one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe and the oldest university in Ukraine !.
After three years of study at the university, I can say with confidence that here everyone can get an opportunity to achieve their goal, and the dean’s office always meets any initiatives from the students. Participation in scientific conferences, the creation of a student club, the organization of an event inside the walls of the university-all this can easily be approved and supported, and if successful, such initiatives are encouraged and funded. The hostel here is quite comfy.Push it and the old university, but I can recommend it to others as there are very good teachers here who will always go to the meeting!

This university is a great place to start an education when you don’t know what you are looking for. First, four years of studies give a good basic understanding of a major you chose. The minuses include too many classes vaguely connected to the major and slightly outdated educational program.

In general, learning is pleasing! Good teachers who invest in their work …. interesting lectures and practical classes, a good friendly atmosphere !!!! Studied at the Faculty of Biology. I advise you to visit the zoological museum at our university.

Definitely studying to be someone special, be smart and intelligent. It’s a great opportunity and start for someone. But when you try to do something really big it kills your trying and ambitions. It’s disappointing

This is just an average university with a known name because of the success of the previous years. Now the standards are getting lower with every class accepted, and the corruption is scavenging some of the faculties from the inside. The best thing the uni offers to you – you can get a good education if you are really motivated, leaving a lot of things for your own. I thought I had a good education until I moved to Europe, now I realize how outdated is the system in Franko.

University in Ukraine is known and has a high authority, so many interesting and intelligent people choose it. But after a certain time of training in it, a part decides or ends training, or engage in self-education. The university does not have the opportunity to participate in various grants, exchanges and business trips. The university employs people aren’t interested in the development of students and work under the old Soviet training scheme. Programs are irrelevant, although some teachers want to change them, yet the requirements do not allow it.
