My experience at Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) has been truly valuable and memorable. Coming from Indonesia to study abroad was a big step for me, and SDÜ gave me many meaningful experiences academically and personally.

What I liked most was the welcoming environment for international students. SDÜ provides international student communities and activities, which really helped me adapt and not feel alone while living far from home. I also had the opportunity to learn Turkish culture and language directly from daily life.

As a Journalism student, I felt that SDÜ really supported students in developing practical skills. The facilities for practice were quite complete and helpful at that time, so students could gain real experience beyond just studying theory in class.

The lecturers and classmates were also understanding, friendly, and supportive throughout my study journey.

Of course, adapting to a new language and culture at the beginning was challenging, and sometimes administrative processes took time. However, joining international student communities, making local and international friends, and actively participating in campus activities helped me adjust more easily and enjoy my university life more.

Overall, studying at SDÜ helped me become more independent, open-minded, and confident. I would definitely recommend SDÜ to students who want international experience, cultural exposure, and a supportive environment for international students.

The program is far from flawless with a few shortcomings in the way it has been laid out and the way some courses in the program are outlined and taught regardless with these shortfalls the program is still effective and can be enjoyable at times

At present, I am studying in 2nd year of the Faculty of Philology. We like the learning process very much, we are learning according to a new technology program that helps us, students, to develop comprehensively. The university campus is located away from the city, with beautiful views of the mountains. We call the campus of the university “Smart Campus” – it’s specially located away from the city so that nothing prevents students from getting an education, all that students need is inside the campus. The hostel is also very beautiful and comfortable for students. There is free Wi-Fi, a fitness room, canteen, yoga, a dining room, relaxation and training rooms. The university has 29 clubs that give students the opportunity to develop and spend their best student years. There are clubs for photographers, videographers, charity and volunteer clubs, and there are even clubs where older students help other students to study with homework. In clubs you can learn everything you would like and dream. The university has 2 canteens, 2 dining rooms, a food court area, a coworking center, a library and a reading room, places and classrooms in which students study and do their assignments, there are computers, a media room, with all the equipment for journalists and free wifi.

SDU change all of my life. Starting the 1st course I found a lot of friends and change my mind to a good way. Now I am a 3 rd year student and I have my own business by supporting of SDU Technopark. I am grateful for SDU for these opportunities
