Istanbul University is considered as the oldest university in Turkey, as its foundation is traced back to 1453. Naturally Istanbul University has the lead with the number of programmes they carry, with more than 10 campuses spread all over Istanbul. Its history provides an experience no other school can provide, as taking its warped marble steps reminds you of all the famous scientists, writers and politicians that once took the same steps as students. Our academics are highly qualified for their positions with many of them carrying a passion for teaching. After every class I find myself appreciating literature and wanting to learn more.

It is not just a university. It is a story itself. It is just a place you cannot imagine. It smells like a history. It speaks to you. It answers you. When you are in this place, you feel like you are in ancient times.

This is the first university I’ve ever attended openly. As a student, the priority is the difficulty of the lessons. The recommended sources tell everything very clearly and clearly, be it about literature or history. Maybe it has started to keep up with today’s technology, but you can find a test like let’s learn with questions in the student system. It shows the wrong and right as soon as the signs are marked. Thus, we can find solutions to the questions that we may encounter in daily life.

Istanbul University is the oldest university in Turkey. It is also one of the most populated universities with national students from all cities of Turkey and international students.

It’s a great choice for people with fewer opportunities, especially financially. Istanbul is a very expensive city for its locals. The last years have been harder for people. So, Istanbul University being a state university means students have fewer expenses. That is a plus.

The university however is not that student-friendly. The school does not provide students with their basic needs, such as clean toilets, toilet paper, or a healthy cafeteria. They are also political, and they suppress students who have opposing opinions.

If I speak for my faculty (Faculty of Law), there is a great academic staff. It might be the best one if you think of them collectively. Their problems are being too hard on students for no apparent reason, being unreachable, suppressing students, and being egoistic.Passing a class is all about luck. There are no objectives to review our papers, we don’t have any chance to see if it’s reviewed fairly. This is against what they stand for.

I was always hyped about business, economy things, my bachelor’s is tourism but my teachers gave us everything about what we were curious about they didn’t just stick with tourism. I think campus life is good, our campus is on renovation but they managed to give us a better campus. But I am currently applying to Italian Universities, Business major.

it is a very-well known public university in turkey. when you study at istanbul university, you feel like you are belong to an public institute. professors are well educated and interested in students.

It’s in the city center, literally, you cannot find any university closer to all the hallmark. University might be a bit old, but this is its thing, yet the facilities are a bit old and battered looking. Professors might be a bit snobby but i think this is all about the universities all around the globe.

Istanbul University is one of the best university in Turkey. Receiving education from the highest level professors added a lot of things to me. And graduating from this university is giving a chance to find quality jobs easier. It is a privilege to be a part of Istanbul University.
