Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University gave me both a strong academic foundation in English Language and Literature and a lot of space to grow personally. The city’s historical and cultural background also enriched the overall experience—it wasn’t just about classes, but about being part of a lively environment.

I really liked the supportive professors who encouraged critical thinking and helped me develop strong communication skills. The campus life was dynamic, with student clubs and cultural events that kept learning social and engaging. On the other hand, I felt that the university could improve in terms of international exchange opportunities and more modern facilities for certain departments.

Yes, I would recommend it—especially to students who want a well-rounded education in a city with both cultural depth and a relaxed lifestyle. It’s a place where motivated students can thrive academically while also enjoying a meaningful student life.

As an academic staff, it has quality teachers. It is taught both theoretically and practically. Since Çanakkale is a student city, it has a very social campus. They have cultural events. Teachers can help in every way.

I studied at the Department of English Language and Literature. We had great, knowledgeable, and helpful teachers who had been supporting us throughout our studies. My experience was good in general.

While the education is good for the most part, I’d prefer our courses to be more dependent on interpreting and commentating on stuff the way we understood them, instead of being taught to repeat what we learned word-for-word. But the educators are generally pretty cool, so it doesn’t phase us that often. Other than that, the transportation I’d say is lacking.

My university is beautiful. It is an excellent university in every respect, including educational opportunities, campus, and activity areas. When you come to campus, there is no chance of not being happy. If you really want to learn something, this university is for you.

The way the lessons are covered is very nice and sufficient. Given the effort put into the students, the school rises to a rank that I can recommend. If we consider the living conditions, it is a somewhat expensive city. Apart from the cost, there is nothing that bothers the education life, the university is already in a beautiful location and a good place.

In COMU, our lecturers are very qualified people. Learning something from them is priceless. However, what we have learned so far is not quite detailed, unfortunately. It makes me question whether when I graduate, will I be qualified like them or not. On the other hand, our campus is very available for doing any kind of activities such as concerts, festivals, etc. Still, this subject is usually unregarded by our university.

University is a very comprehensive place. The campus is really beautiful and functional. In addition, there are thousands of books in the library, which is also very good in this respect. I can recommend this place to every student studying in Turkey because it is literally a student city. I think that the department I am a student of will also provide me with a lot of gains. A well-equipped university and department. I am happy to be here.

The campus’ location is great, it is in the heart of the city. The classes are easy to follow and the teachers are eager to support and push students toward school life. Everything here is amazing, but accommodation is expensive.

The way the course selections and the contents of the courses are organized with a focus on the department. The professors are willing to help in any kind of situation. The location is perfect for living as a student, but the house prices are high which can be a con for the city.
