So, I study at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. To be honest, I don’t feel super connected to the place. It’s kind of average overall—nothing too exciting, but also not the worst.
The city itself is small and quiet, which can be nice if you’re looking for peace, but it can get boring if you’re used to a more active lifestyle. There aren’t that many social activities or opportunities happening all the time, so you have to make your own fun or really search for events and communities to join.
As for the university, some professors are really helpful and understanding, while others seem like they’re just going through the motions. The education is okay—it depends a lot on which department you’re in and who’s teaching the course. Personally, I don’t always feel motivated by the system, but I try to make the most out of what’s available.
The people, though, are generally kind and supportive. I’ve met some good friends here, and that makes a big difference. So even if I’m not crazy about the university itself, the human side of the experience is what keeps me going.
In short: it’s a medium-level university. If you’re self-driven and don’t expect too much from the environment, you’ll be fine.
