It’s a relatively novel programme which is why they’re often looking to improve. They describe it as small scale and intensive which it is. It has more international students than Dutch students and is fully taught in English. I have enjoyed the mix of the four disciplines and you get to choose your major in the second year for more of a focus. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed studying however I do have to say that they don’t fully promote critical thinking and oftentimes it feels as though you have to cater your essays to whoever is grading them in order to get a good grade. Furthermore, it can be too intense at times which is not ideal because a huge part of learning is being able to go back and review previous topics however most of the time it feels like you are just running after the next book chapter and once the exam is done you won’t remember anything. Regardless, it’s nice that it’s small as you know everyone and there’s a bit of a sense of community.
If you are thinking of studying it, make sure you wouldn’t rather study one of the disciplines separately (e.g. If you want to be a psychologist, go for a bachelors in psychology rather than pple but if you’re looking for an interdisciplinary study PPLE is for you!)
