The campus is wonderful, with friendly people always willing to help. The classes and programs are exactly what I need, and the faculty is approachable and helpful. I know that I can always get answers to my questions or be directed to the right resources.
View moreLeiden University has a rich history of renowned researchers, and to this day it attracts curious minds from all over the world. In my opinion, this university encourages freedom of thinking that is vital in every discipline. While the research part of the university very diverse and international, the large number of Dutch programmes causes the students to he predominantly Dutch. A small and compact city, Leiden has a thriving student life and all the facilities to make my time as a student a wonderful experience. A downside of this university, however, is that the enormous increase of first-year students over the past year causes the staff-student ratio to decrease, diminishing personal attention. In some way, it gives me a feeling of being just another object in the production line, though this seems to be a more universal problem. Overall, however, Leiden is a great place to discover your interests and to prepare yourself for your future career.
