The IT program at the Inholland University of Applied Science is adequate. Most teachers and staff are professional and seem to be passionate about teaching. There are many interesting courses and you learn a lot in a short period of time.
The school year is divided into 4 terms with exams every 2 months or so. The exams are quite difficult even for those who dedicate a lot of time to studying. Unfortunately, not all courses prepare you effectively for the exams. Some classes are not structured well and cover too much information for an average student. So you end up studying on your own most of the time for over 40 hours a week. A lot of teachers ask you to refer to Google when you have questions. That is quite annoying when you are paying tuition for their assistance.
Additionally, unfortunately, I repeatedly encountered strange comments from a teacher about foreign students being less intelligent than Dutch students. This is annoying keeping in mind that my program mostly has foreign students. So I wouldn’t say that the program I’m doing is 100% comfortable for non-Dutch students.
It’s also hard to combine this program with work as you get a lot of weekly assignments and theoretical material to learn.
