I really like the facilities at fontys university, you can play pool between classes, you have many different coffee machines, low price and starbucks are some examples. In general it has a really nice aesthetic and it is very spacious. I would like to add that there are many bike parkings, which is very important when living in the Netherlands, and they come with a roof so your bike doesn’t get wet when is rainy, which is extremely relevant. There are many open spaces, rest spaces and group rooms to either work, meet people or just be by yourself.
Regarding cafeteria prices, you have a few cheap options that I usually take but there are also more expensive choices if you want a fancier lunch. In Venlo there is a McDonalds near by too, for emergencies 🙂
Organization hasn’t been the best since they had to deal with scheduling very close to the start of lectures, but the teachers are very inmeresed on the subjects and really want to help you and teach you as much as possible.
In a nutshell, I am absolutely enjoying my time in this university and I recommend to everyone to study here
Good study with helpful teachers that prepare you good for the job industry. But throughout the years the program has changed a lot so I can’t tell much about the new program. In the old program you got all important drawing and CAD lessons. Some teachers and projects try to make you think outside the box and challenge your self reflection to become a better designer.
View moreI really enjoy the education program. Everything is arranged so well, especially the study material. If I had to rate it from 1 to 10, I would love to give it 9. The one that is missing is because of some of the teachers that were conducting the classes. The thing that I don’t like for sure is that during the exams the teachers always talk in Dutch. After all, my program is International Communication Management and I think that they should explain the procedure in English. I consider this program full of international students and especially in Eindhoven city. I would totally love to give some tips and advice to new students. I am experienced in different fields and I am informed about some other universities,
View moreThe program helps you settle in very good. Great teachers, only not all suited for international students and all of their cultures. Facilities are decent, a lot of space for cars, scooters and bikes, but a very far walk from any bus stop. Haven’t really gotten to experience the student life yet. School’s not very international. There are a lot of opportunities around the world as cars are a global must-have for the transport of people as well as goods.
View moreI applied for this course with not much expectation but over the period I learnt how truly versatile this course is. You gain insights through the diverse range of courses and new programs that could suit nearly any creative. Interacting with students from other countries makes the program inclusive and you learn about other cultures with an exciting group of school colleagues. The faculty however is not as diverse culturally and scheduling is not always in sync between the students and lecturers. Due to the relatively new nature of the course, they still have administration issues that need to deal with properly. I highly recommended this course for anyone who enjoys talking, thinking out of the box and different people.
View moreOverall, the program is nice. The environment is both friendly and professional. We have a variety of subjects in almost every business field. The only issue is the communication between the teachers and the students especially during COVID.
View moreI studied Informatics with the option to specialize in Software Engineering or Business Informatics. In the third year, you do an Internship and a minor (possibly abroad). Moreover, the course takes a very practical approach so students get projects from companies to solve and this is important for aspiring software engineers because they can build their portfolio whiles studying. This positions you to gain employment right after graduation (majority gain employment in <3 months). The tuition fees have almost doubled since I started so prospective students must be mindful of that.
View moreMy program, Finance & Control, opens a lot of doors for a better future. All the courses are exciting and different from each other. You do not learn only finance-related topics; the study course includes marketing, law, and business. You have an opportunity to improve your skills in teamworking, leadership, problem-solving, project management, and more. Moreover, it gives a great opportunity to improve research skills by working on the project for real-life companies. This program gives you an opportunity to choose a carrier which fits you and only you, from a wide range of carriers.
From my own experience, in this program, I like the way people behave with each other. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and understanding. You will never feel alone there or underestimated. There will always be someone who is willing to help you with pleasure. You communicate with lectures like you would with your friends. If you ask them non-related topic questions, they will always answer you. The courses are totally different from each other, so you have an opportunity to see which field you like the most and would like to do for your future. Also, I like to work on projects with a team. It gives you a lot of experience, and you can hear amazing ideas and thoughts from your team members, as well as learn from each other.
However, this program has a lot of pluses but also one big minus -the theory-based courses. This program provides a lot of theory-based courses and less practical courses.
