I have chosen systems and control as my master track in the university. I would say it has a very strong core program and provides me ridiculously large number of options to choose from. I found this aspect as the most unique and attractive feature about my program. Facilities in the university are rapidly developing. Every day I hear about some new lab or workspace being developed. Most of the professors are great knowledge about their field and give relevant lectures. Structure of timetable for lectures is also great. They say there are a lot of companies in the neighborhood and the university has strong connections with them. The companies organize events for students of our university (I attended one my self on the very first day of my college.). We get special lecture from their engineers. This provides use with a chance to get good internships as well as jobs. Also, the companies work closely with the university professors, masters and PhD students to research of innovative topics with generates opportunities for those who are interested in research instead of jobs. There are countless student associations and a sports center to join and stay active but its a bit difficult to do with the study load. Study pace is quite fast in the university quartile system. Only issues that I find are that there are a lot of procedures to follow and not much information going around. I mean you if you know what you are looking for, there are certainly ways to find info but information information in general is marketed as much as it should be. Specially in the case of international students, you get stuck when information on the notice board is in Dutch. I think information should be propagated to students in a more efficient manner rather than the student digging into different portals to find it out.
But overall, I dont regret my decision to join TU/e. In fact, I love it.
