I think the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology is a school that emphasizes both technology and practice, especially in the fields of engineering, information, design and management, where it has strong competitiveness. The course content tends to be application-oriented, and many professors have industry experience and can provide practical insights. The school also has many corporate cooperation and internship opportunities, which is a good learning environment for students who want to enter the workplace directly.
However, I feel that the school’s academic research resources are slightly weaker than those of traditional comprehensive universities. If you want to pursue a purely academic or in-depth research route, you may have to look for additional opportunities yourself. In addition, since the school places more emphasis on practical work, the academic burden is not light. For students who are accustomed to theoretical learning, it may take some time to adapt.
Overall, NTUST is very suitable for students who have strong hands-on skills and like practical applications. If you want to enter the industry in the future, this can provide a good springboard, but if you want to go into academic research, you may need to be more active in seeking resources.
