What stood out to me the most is the incredibly international environment, you’re constantly surrounded by people from all over the world, which really opens your mindset and pushes you out of your comfort zone in the best way.
Beyond classes, student life plays a huge role in my life here. Being involved in committees allowed me to meet people from different years, develop practical skills, and feel much more connected to campus life. It’s a great way to balance the academic side with something more dynamic and social.
Another aspect I really appreciated is how approachable the professors are. They are genuinely supportive, which really makes a big difference when you need guidance or feedback. You can really feel that they want you to suceed.
Of course, the program can be intense sometimes, especially with the workload and high expectations, but it definitely prepares you well for the professional world and teaches you discipline.
Overall, I would recommend EHL to students who are looking for a challenging but rewarding experience, especially if they value international exposure, hands-on involvement, and a strong sense of community.
I believe EHL to be a great university for both personal and professional development. Throughout, my journey as an EHL student I have constantly pushed myself out of my comfort zone to explore different opportunities. Be it interacting with 120 nationalities or being involved in the diverse committees, each experience has made me more confident and improved my interpersonal skills. EHL offers a hands-on hospitality degree with two internships, which really allows a person to develop am understanding of the real business world outside the classroom as well. Personally, the opportunities to interact with diverse people and some of the world’s leading companies on campus has made the experience like none other.
View moreChoosing EHL was a very intentional decision for me. As an extroverted person passionate about hospitality, I wanted a university where service excellence is not only taught but truly practiced. EHL stood out because of its balance between academic rigor and hands-on experience.
The AP (preparatory year) program had a big impact on me. Working in operational roles such as fine dining service, front office, pastry taught me discipline, attention to detail, and how to perform under pressure. It gave me real confidence in guest interaction and teamwork. Academically, I especially enjoyed classes related to financial accounting and economics as they helped me better understand how people and businesses function together.
EHL’s career support also made a real difference. The interview preparation and guidance helped me secure my Front Office internship at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, which was a major opportunity for me.
What makes EHL distinctive is its international environment and high standards. You’re constantly surrounded by ambitious, driven students, which pushes me to grow both personally and professionally.
My advice to future students is to fully embrace the operational experience; it builds resilience and professionalism that truly sets you apart.
I truly enjoyed studying at EHL and have never regretted my decision to choose this school. The journey at EHL has significantly prepared me for my future career in hospitality.
During the Preparation Year, students participate in numerous hands-on workshops on campus. One of the most memorable experiences for me was working as a waitress at the one-Michelin-star restaurant, Berceau des Sens. It was a rare opportunity to experience fine dining service at such a high standard within a school environment. The Front Office workshop was also extremely helpful, as it allowed me to become familiar with POS systems and operational procedures before starting my first internship.
Beyond the practical training, EHL’s networking opportunities played a crucial role in preparing me for the real industry. I secured my first internship through the EHL platform and had valuable networking experiences during Career Fair events, where I connected with luxury hospitality brands. Recently, I also received guidance from the Career Development team, who provided detailed feedback on my CV and advised me on my next career steps. As I am graduating in a few months, this support has been especially meaningful.

View moreIf you are hesitating to choose EHL for your next study path, allow me to share with you how I discovered EHL and what it brought me. In 2021, I was uncertain about my study path. During the summer, my mother advised me to apply for the EHL Junior Academy week to have an overview of a hospitality management school. I went on the first day of the Junior Academy uncertain about my choice. I came back one week later saying to my parents: “The school is meant for me.” I discovered a field of study that combines analysis, luxury, and passion. I chose EHL for this reason.
Throughout the past three years, I have discovered the diversity of the hospitality sector and exchanged with passionate people. During my AP first year, I was able to discover the operational side of hospitality and its importance in order to provide excellent service. I particularly enjoyed working in the Michelin-starred restaurant “Le Berceau des Sens,” as it was a real immersion in fine dining service!
During the second and third years at EHL (which are academic years), I was impressed by the large panel of classes EHL provides, from finance to international marketing, room division, and economics. Everyone can find their favorite topic(s)! My favorite subjects were certainly macroeconomics, since the professor, Mr. Sfreddo, was supportive, and also HR taught by Ms. Pougnet, a remarkable lecturer! The valuable outcome from this year was that I discovered a strong interest in cost control and management accounting, and I was able to experience my motivation for those subjects throughout an administrative internship.
Furthermore, another pillar, in my honest opinion, of EHL is networking. During the Junior Academy, I met Monsieur Laurent, who is the Value Ambassador of EHL. I was impressed by his passion and wisdom. Through the different semesters, I met students and peers on campus with various aspirations, supportive professors, and brilliant hospitality leaders during events on campus.
If I have to describe my personal evolution throughout my bachelor so far, I would say that the little anxiety I had on the first day completely faded through the years thanks to EHL’s welcoming environment and experiences. And that’s the aim of hospitality: to make everyone feel welcome and confident!
I would strongly advise future students to take every opportunity EHL offers. Apply for committees, participate in events held on campus, and network with as many people as you can.
EHL is an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
View moreI chose EHL because I wanted more than a traditional business degree. I wanted to understand how operations, leadership, and human behavior come together in real environments.
One of the most formative experiences for me was the first-year operations weeks. They were intense and sometimes exhausting, but they taught me discipline, attention to detail, and how to stay composed under pressure. You quickly realize that hospitality is built on teamwork and consistency, not just creativity.
The diversity at EHL has also shaped me in unexpected ways. Working with classmates from over 100 nationalities is inspiring, but it also challenges you. You learn to navigate different communication styles and expectations, which prepares you for global teams far better than theory alone.
Balancing academics with leadership roles, especially as Vice President of Sustainability, was not always easy. There were moments of stress and self-doubt. But the support from faculty and the structure around career guidance made a real difference. From CV workshops to interview preparation, I felt equipped rather than overwhelmed when applying for internships.
What makes EHL distinctive, in my experience, is the ambition of the people around you. You are constantly surrounded by individuals who want to build, lead, and innovate. That environment pushes you to grow.
My advice to future students is to take initiative early. The more you engage, the more you gain. EHL challenges you, but it also shapes you in ways that go beyond the classroom.
I am a final-year student at EHL Hospitality Business School (Bachelor in International Hospitality Management), and time truly flies when you embark on such a journey!!
I am genuinely grateful to be studying at this institution, as it has helped me grow both personally and professionally. Learning alongside my peers, sharing enriching experiences, and studying specialised topics have strengthened my skills and inspired my career choices for the future.
I particularly value the strong link between academic learning and real-world industry exposure, which prepares students to enter the hospitality industry with confidence and professionalism.
At EHL, I am also a student ambassador, a role I truly enjoy, as it has helped me develop my public-speaking abilities and become more confident when interacting with others.
In addition, I appreciate the excellent sports facilities available to students, such as the swimming pool and Pilates classes.
I would definitely recommend EHL to prospective students who are curious, eager to learn, and passionate about hospitality in a dynamic and international environment.
