EHL’s Bachelor in Hospitality Management is a serious, industry-focused program that develops both technical competencies and people-centric soft skills. For me, the année préparatoire made a huge difference. Six months on campus rotating through Michelin-starred dining service, housekeeping, Opera PMS training, and even oenology. It was a fully immersive experience that prepared me for a six-month operational internship abroad.
The internship process is competitive, but accessible. EHL organises a Career Fair where top companies like Four Seasons, Rosewood, and Mandarin Oriental come on campus to hire interns directly. I interviewed with Four Seasons, and a few months later, I was in Hong Kong working in Guest Experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that pushed me professionally and personally.
As for the academic rigour of the following years, the Bachelor’s program strikes a strong balance between practical and theoretical learning. Courses like Financial Accounting and Management Information Systems are taught alongside subjects such as Human Behaviour in the Workplace, building a well-rounded understanding of both operational skills and leadership dynamics.
Working in a culturally diverse environment, surrounded by classmates from all over the world, has made EHL a truly unique experience. It’s not just about gaining a degree. It’s about growing through real work, forming lifelong friendships, and learning to adapt, lead, and contribute meaningfully to a global industry. Though it’s only been two years, I don’t feel like just a student anymore. I feel ready to make an impact.
