Its perhaps one of the worst University experiences ever. I go Graphic Design here. One of the hardest programms to get into and I regret it by a mile. We have no proper working printers and quality paper for our assignments. Our teachers force us to buy their own programmes they are working with and their overpriced books. While the lesson don’t focus on anything manually or artistic. We have for three months now worked with how to write essay and had lectures about philosophy. Graphic design like making posters or website? Little to non. And when we actually have to make a website our teachers refuse to teach us the new program or principles for the assignment. Instead we are referred to YouTube.The general lesson are chaotic with little to non proper planning over the courses. Social aspects of the school is also rather weak. It’s nice the first two weeks when you enter, then ? Nothing, barely any socialising and events.

In my programme, the first semester was the most difficult, but it was also eye opening. Studying at Malmö University entails a lot of independent study and while that worked out great for me, I realise not everyone finds that ideal.
I found the professors to be fair and professional, while the university’s stance on global issues and its administrative part can be lacking at times. However, I found the courses to be very interesting. For example I had multiple courses on the role of civil society, protest, and war from a civilian perspective.
Depending on the programme, there are elective semesters when you can either take any other courses, do an internship or go on exchange studies.
Overall, my studies at Malmö University have been extremely informative.

Yes, I would highly recommend the university. My time at this institution has been one of the best experiences of my life, and if I could go back in time, I would make the same choice again. Malmo University offers a diverse and inclusive environment where you can connect with people from all over the world and learn from their perspectives. The focus on teamwork is significant, as nearly every class involves group work, fostering collaboration and real-world skills.

As a student, you are well-supported and guided by professors and service personnel. The classes tackle innovative topics, often involving teamwork or more traditional learning approaches. The smaller student population fosters close relationships with the professors, making it easier to seek guidance. Deadlines are clearly defined and well-managed. Additionally, the school environment is welcoming and conducive to learning, with modern facilities that encourage collaboration among students. The campus atmosphere is engaging, creating a great balance between academic pursuits and social activities.
