As Student in Germany I went abroad by exchange to Lund University for 2 semesters. I can absolutely recommend going to Lund as it is a fantastic experience for life.

When I arrived it took less than a week to become connected very well. In the 2 weeks between arrival and lecture start there have been so many activities to connect people to one another, which made me get a friend circle extremely fast. Throughout the entire semester the nations provide an enormous amount of free time activities (pubs, sittings, Brunches,lunches, sports,…).

Even better got my experience when I became active in the nations getting to know everybody while having a lot of fun with friends.

This exchange gave me incredible memories and friends all across the world. From a student life perspective (in relation to Germany) it is absolutely recommended.

Lecturewise studying physics with some courses from the Mathematics master where no big difference. Compared to my home university the amount of assignments was less, which gave me more free time for student life. Exams are 5h which takes away the usual time pressure, I liked that.

Unlike central Europe laboratory session are within the course instead of separate in “Praktika”. This way it’s far better as the lab is done when being in the matter of theory.
