Overall, I’d give the uni a solid 4 out of 5. In terms of classes, academics, and opportunities, it’s definitely a good place to be. Based on my experience, the professors are generally very nice and explain things clearly – though, some can be really hard to talk to. the professors I’m under are super responsive and even reply to my texts at night and on weekends. However, I do have friends whose professors’ never reply to their messages and must be chased in person if there are any issues. I find that Classes are fun and engaging, and the assignments really push you to do your own research, they teach you the basics in class but in order to be able to complete assignments given you must do further research on your own.

The networking opportunities and oportunities for carrer growth is another thing i would like to highlight. they often host industry talks, hackathons, and chances to collaborate on projects with companies or other universities. Additionally, there is a lot of international students who study at this university which does helps to expand your connection pool.

However, the biggest downside in my opinion, is its location. The campus is secluded and not accessible at all. They do provide a shuttle bus from the nearest train station, but it often gets overwhelmed as there are always too many people in line, not enough buses, and the bus is often delayed. Even if you drive, parking is very limited and almost always full, so that can be frustrating too. They do provide on-campus accommodation as an option, but, it is very pricey for something that is curated for university students. In fact, it is way higher than average house pricing in the areas.

Additionally, because of how isolated the campus is, students living on campus often get bored. There’s not much around, and the only food that is accessible is on-campus food. so most of the people I know who live on campus rely heavily on food delivery and e-hailing services which is really expensive.

Overall, I’d recommend going to this uni if you’re looking for solid academics, good industry exposure, and a diverse environment. Just be prepared for the commute and a bit of a struggle with housing and accessibility.

The environment was vibrant with all sorts of culture: local and international. The simple experience of interacting and building friendships with people from all over the world has opened another door of knowledge as essential as life skills: cultural intelligence, the ability to learn about a culture and share your own without judgement, all in the spirit of diversity.

Overall, I would rate my program at APU positively. It provided a strong foundation in both technical and practical aspects, with a good balance of theory and hands-on experience. The diverse, international environment enhanced my learning, and the focus on industry-relevant skills prepared me well for real-world applications. However, like any program, there were areas for improvement, such as more industry exposure or refined course structures.
