A really good learning experience overall. Some subjects and teachers make this years lifechanging, for better or for worse. Teachers like, María Ángeles Alonso, Lastenia or Naira Delgado generates drive and ilussión for this type of job. Subjects like Discrimination and Prejudice have made my perception of the world change in a good way and have made me a better person and proffessional.
View moreMy opinion is that the university facilities are good, and that there is a lack of teaching staff. I also like that in this degree there are many internships, which helps you when starting out in the world of work.
View moreQualified staff, excellent environment, really nice place to study. Easy commute from the city. I did really enjoy the experience. After graduation, it was easy to find a job in my field of expertise, still working in the same field in another country. Highly recommended.
View moreMy experience studying at the University of La Laguna (Tenerife-Canary Islands, Spain) was very positive. I started studying a Diploma in Advanced Studies (Pre-Doctorate) in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, after my foreign Degree in Food Engineering was considered comparable in Spain to a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology (ULL). This area of knowledge has allowed me to gain work experience, worldwide. I am currently in Canada, where this academic degree was also recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor in Science (Food) by the Province of Alberta (IQAS).
View moreThe University may not be the best in the world, but it is located on an incredible island with people who are even more so.
It is true that when it rains, leaks appear and sometimes even classes are cancelled, it seems that much of the island is paralyzed in bad weather, they are not used to it and the facilities are usually not prepared either.
In reality, it depends a lot on the degree or the master’s degree that you are going to do because the schools are totally different from each other and are located in different areas, for example, medicine, nursing and physical therapy is further away than the rest.
It is evident that the University of La Laguna does not invest the same amount of money as other Universities, so the facilities are not the best and although I had very good professors, I think that more professors and specialists in the subject they teach.
I studied a lot during my degree and I also complained about a thousand things, but when I went outside and related to people from other universities I realized that they all have their flaws. We have to take advantage of all the opportunities that our university gives us and if we want more we just have to look for them, not everything comes as a gift.
Regarding socialization, the people I met made me feel at home and also, there are some associations that help the greater integration of the student who comes from outside.
Without a doubt, I would return to study at the University of La Laguna, we can all improve it.
