I did the Audiovisual Communication career at Upv-Ehu from 2016 to the end of 2020. The career for me lacks a bit because it gives me the feeling of being not very creative. But in general, the same thing happens in all Spanish universities with this specific career.
The first year you go in wanting to make movies, but the second year you discover that you are going to spend more time studying things that do not interest you than those that do.
Even so, there are classes that I really liked such as the Script for Fiction 1 or the Documentary subject. The teachers in general are very nice and know what they are talking about, but the structure of the degree does not allow them to teach their classes better.
The uni is close to Bilbao, which is one of the best and most unknown cities in Spain. In Bilbao you can make friends, travel the entire city and province by public transport and eat like you have never done before. So it is a great destination to be able to come to study.
The best thing that the university has left me is the Erasmus that I did in New Mexico and a good contact list for future projects.
My opinion is that if you know how to take advantage of your university time searching and doing other projects on your part, you will take advantage of the experience. It is not the best university in the world, but it is very good.
