Hello!
My name is Álvaro and I studied History at the University of Seville.
The university is located in the centre of the city, the old tobacco factory. It is a privileged place, full of charm, restaurants and in the best place.
The building is from the 18th century, but so is the teaching method. An expert gives a lecture in front of everyone. 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Students do not participate at all except for some voluntary work that raises a point or two in the grade.
Of course, seniority also extends to anything involving administration. If you want to know your results, you have to go in-person to a board. And don’t expect them to send you a mail. Most professors look like they have never touched a pc in their life.
Many of the academics are good speakers (thank goodness). But there are also terrible ones, and in general, all the brilliance and dedication they show to their research work is matched by a total neglect of their students. At this university no one will care about you.
As a bonus, if you are an Erasmus student who does not speak Spanish well, you can be sure that you will pass with a good score because the professors will give you a free pass.
