Student review [#28762] for English and Translation

The programme ‘Modern Languages and Translation’ taught at Universidad de Alcalá has been rated as one of the best translation programmes in the country. It offers a wide variety of classes, especially the optative and transversal subjects, and useful internship offers. It also shines due to its participation in the Erasmus programme. The Universidad de Alcalá is a big supporter of this programme for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, but the programme Translation gives special importance to studying a year abroad. It encourages all students to apply to this programme and it offers its students an extensive variety of universities they can choose from all over the world.
The only complaint I have about this programme is that, in my opinion, does not give translation enough importance. There aren’t any subjects related to translation until the 3rd year; the 1st and 2nd years have classes related to English, Spanish, linguistics and other important and useful subjects, but I feel like students should start learning and practising translation earlier in the programme.
Therefore, if you are looking for a programme based solely on the translation you should choose another one; however, if you are interested in a programme that explores languages, cultures and other linguistic areas besides translation, then Modern Languages and Translation in Universidad de Alcalá would be perfect for you.
