CEU San Pablo is a large university with many opportunities, good facilities and experienced professors. In general, there is a good academic environment and I believe the university has a lot to offer. However, I think the experience can vary significantly depending on the programme you choose.
In my case, I studied a newly created Master’s programme, and unfortunately my experience did not meet my expectations. As it was a new programme, I understand that there are still aspects that need to be developed and improved, but I felt that what was promised at the beginning did not fully correspond with the actual learning experience.
The programme did not take enough into account the students’ previous experience or different skill levels, which resulted in a class with very unequal levels. I also felt that the learning structure could have been much better organised and more focused on developing the professional skills that the programme initially promised.
Coming from a very positive previous experience within the CEU educational group, I expected something similar. CEU San Pablo itself has good professors, opportunities and a strong academic environment, but because it is such a large university with many different faculties and programmes, the experience can feel less personal and each programme operates quite independently.
For this reason, I would recommend the university in general, but I would strongly suggest researching the specific programme carefully before enrolling. In my particular case, I would not recommend the Master’s programme I studied in its current format.
