I’m currently studying the Master’s in Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation at UNIR, and my experience has been deeply frustrating and disappointing. I chose it because it’s marketed as a practical, application-oriented master’s program, both on its website, in its brochures, and in its sales pitch. But the reality is different: 80% of the content is theoretical, repetitive, and poorly coordinated across subjects.
Basic concepts are repeated in each subject, without any collaborative planning. Tools are barely taught; often, they are simply mentioned and said, “We’ve already covered this,” when in reality, nothing applicable has been taught.
We’ve been requesting improvements since the first few months. There was no response. They only react when the protests are in public forums, but without making any real changes. We ran a test requesting changes and have never received the results. They give us false hope, saying things will be implemented… but they never arrive. The master’s degree becomes a series of explanations about what others (IT professionals, technicians, or large companies) do with AI, implying that we’ll never be able to do it because we don’t have technical backgrounds. This is false: I have non-technical friends who already work as AI consultants after developing other, better-designed programs. But looking at the content, it really will end up being that way in our case.
Lasting from April to December and costing €5,000, the result was a complete waste of money, time, and energy. I’m self-employed and stopped working long hours thinking this training would make me more efficient. All I’ve received is disappointment.
I’ve been complaining for months. First, with the intention of getting them to listen and improve the master’s degree. Now, I’m demanding a refund of my tuition, which still seems small compared to the lost time and opportunity cost. The response has been either silence or evasion.
If you’re thinking about enrolling, I urge you not to make the same mistake. There are other, much more reliable, up-to-date, and practical options.
