My experience at UIC Barcelona was very positive overall. Being a Bioengineering student, what stood out most to me was the practical side of the education, especially the hands-on learning opportunities in the laboratory courses, which gave me valuable experience and practical skills beyond the theoretical coursework. The professors were approachable and supportive and the students were also helpful and welcoming towards international students. The main thing I would have preferred is a higher level of academic challenge in some courses, as the material and exams sometimes felt easier than expected. Also, at the Sant Cugat campus, there is not a very active campus life in terms of events or activities, so I would recommend future students to make the most of Barcelona itself by exploring the city, joining Erasmus groups, and taking part in social activities outside campus. Even so, I learned a lot and enjoyed my time there.
