The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is a university placed in the surroundings of Barcelona, about 40 minutes from the centre of it. It has a beautiful and large green campus in which there are a lot of people always playing around. There are many services for the students like libraries, bars, a driving school, supplies’ shops…

It is a very familiar university although its big dimensions. There is a student residence next to it with about 5.000 youth people living in there. It is known for having good and very dedicated professors, however, some are not so much and this can be reflected on how they treat the students. Luckily they can be counted with a hand, there are a few.

The classes are already stabilised from the year that you are at, however, in 3rd or 4th grade you can already choose some of them. The variety of subjects can be a thing that the university should improve.
In addition, it is a campus known for having a lot of international students and they are always taken care of both by the professors and by their own students. For example, there is an orientation group for them that lasts all year.

I really recommend it as it has good career prospects, especially with the great variety of Erasmus’ destinations and internships. I’m in my 2nd year and I can totally assure you that I’m really enjoying my stay, not only academically speaking but also socially speaking.

This university has helped me to both develop internally and intellectually.

UAB is one of the most leading universities in Spain, especially in terms of Professors. I am mostly satisfied with the way of studying, but some facilities need to be improved. Also, it is difficult to say something bad at this moment, because UAB is now getting back to normalization and not everything works properly due to Covid-19.
