at University of the Witwatersrand - WITS

Wits one of the best research institutions in Africa. It is a fast paced learning environment, that is also very competitive. Moreover, the course content at Wits is very much applicable to real life experiences and in my three years at the university, I can say I have learnt a lot. However, Wits does not prioritise the needs of their students much. We have issues of limited accommodation, 24/7 transport facilities and so forth. The workload is also a lot more compared to other universities. I have also found that there is a lot of engagement in classrooms, as lecturers really encourage it. Some campus facilities also have made the university experience better.
