For the past month, I have been attempting to enroll in the University of Pretoria’s PHD program. Unfortunately, the University of Pretoria’s online registration procedure could require some serious user-friendliness improvements. I was able to apply after several unsuccessful tries to register, but there were still a number of obstacles to overcome. I am unable to change or amend important characteristics, such as program registration dates, because the online interface is not user-friendly or approachable. Going further with the HELP desk merely results in a back-and-forth process of assistance where each department (Student Service Centre, Faculty Student Assistance, etc.) keeps directing me back to the other.
