The University of Johannesburg is a prestigious and well respected university, which is one of the reasons why it was my first university option. It is currently ranking as number one in South Africa and Sub-Sarahan Africa and number four in the whole of Africa.
The education provided is of high quality, the institution cares about its students and ensure that learning goes smoothly for both the lecturers and the students.
Transitioning from high school into university can be very challenging for most students, therefore, the institution has made it possible that there is a First Year Students Programme as well as senior students to mentor them as they go through this journey.
I am speaking as a product of the First Year Students Programme and went on to be a Peer Mentor and FASSET Programme Mentor for 4 years.
Our institution goes as far as raising funds for registration for students who cannot afford to do register in various departments.
My life on campus was very smooth sailing as I was very active and involved in different activities and programmes, this helped me to form lots and lots of great connections.
I love everything and more about the University of Johannesburg and cannot wait to do my Postgraduate Diploma through it.
