The biggest “pro” of being a student at unisa is the freedom of not being bound by a lecture timetable or a specific physical location. This makes it the go-to choice for working professionals, parents, or those living in remote areas. You have access to a massive digital library, which I personally love because I can access a wide range of study material. Unisa is perfect for the self-starter who needs an affordable, flexible way to level up their career. I definitely would recommend studying at the University of South Africa.

This university is basically a self study university we have no tests during the year we just get our marks by writing assignments and exams during May/June and November/December. We write assignments with study material provided to us plus research, we have our lectures available to us via email or you can even set up an appointment to go to the university if need be.

This program is flexible for people that work or even mothers I’d say because you work from home and submit online. I’d definitely recommend this to everyone.

The only disadvantage I’d say is when lectures don’t try to find the cause of the problem when there’s a high fail rate in a specific module however eventually the students get to together to figure it out.

I also did a phd in Environmental Management and clinical management and my dissertation was about clinical management where I took samples from hospitals and saw of they affect the environment and I did pretty well where my experience was about 4 years in the study but i gained connections and experience with a great supervisor

I did my masters and phd at the university of south africa and many funding opportunities made it easy for me to manage my finances and all that I achieved I had an excellent supervisor in environmental science and do my best I’m grateful for the passes.

Unisa is convenient for me as I work full time, I cannot attend lectures that’s is why I chose distance learning.
It is challenging at times because of poor support and management but I am glad I chose the institution, I can work and study that’s all that matters.
