Unisa is good distance learning university.
I enjoyed completing my diploma in IT around 2003.
The lectures were helpful in their comments when marking our scripts.
However, studying at Unisa is largely a lonely affair. You have to put effort in your studies

My University experience as a 3rd year student of the University of South Africa has been amazing. The experience has been transformative and well as something that has pushed me to pursue more of my future. I have had a few hiccups along the way but who hasn’t which is why I’d recommend Unisa to anyone

Overall, I am satisfied with my programme. The lecturers are knowledgeable and supportive, and they are always willing to assist when students need help. The coursework is challenging but fair, and it encourages critical thinking and independence.

It is the most ideal institute for people who have a job or a side hustle or even starting a family. It also has very decent rates. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone straight out high school. It has too many unfamiliar challenges, like not having a traditional teacher/ lecture, being isolated and the level of difficulty requires a level of discipline that I feel cannot be found in any student that just finished highschool

It is the best university in the country, offering long distance learning and their service is well established. The application process as well is very easy and caters to all people of all ages, you can never go wrong.

One of the greatest institutes and most underrated. The programs can be done at one’s pace remotely. The fees are reasonable and also good payment plans. The tutors are passionate about their respective fields and tutoring. Would recommend it for people who want to pursue their education on a flexible schedule.

Overall this a great university except for a few minor issues, administration and a few lecturers. My biggest issue is the time it takes to obtain a completion letter after finishing your qualification.

This institution is one of the most amazing institutions I know for long distance learning . My time there was fun and convenient. The facility is Ideal for those who want to study while working or traveling and their exam rooms are the best

UNISA is one of the best university in South Africa for people who are working. Unisa gives the working class to complete a qualification of their choice. Through out my time at UNISA I had a feel of higher education space is working, the university gave me the opportunity to take control of my life and balance my time properly.

Good University overall, but could do with a lot of improvements, the admin staff needs to reply to student emails on time, same with the Lecturer. The assignment marks take too long to be marked, they need to released on time to allow student to prepare for the exams.
