It was my first time studying online and the experience was pretty cool, all resources were available online, lecturers ensured that they provided us with videos and extra support. I have finally graduated and I am looking at my next qualification.
View moreUniversity of South Africa (UNISA) is one of the biggest universities. I am doing Diploma in Public relations and it has been the best and educational journey for me. The university has a account called my life account that a registered student uses to check their modules, admin and study. Each module has E-tutors that help us to study and understand our modules better. And we have these Microsoft accounts that are free for us and this enables us to type our Assignments and attend online classes. In my university we believe in academic integrity and the university ensures that students complete a cumplosory course that teaches us more about academic integrity and we earn points . Like any other universities we interact with our lecture online and sometimes we do have problems with our website because we tend to want to study all of us at the same time. The university also has an app that allows us use rather than going to Google. It’s called mooodle. I hundred percent recommend the university of South Africa because you get to learn and study at your own pace and time. As long as you make sure you always attend classes , honour academic integrity and submit your work on time.
View moreStudying Public Relations at UNISA has been an enriching experience overall. The program is well-structured, offering comprehensive modules that provide a solid foundation in communication strategies, public speaking, and media relations. I particularly appreciate the flexibility UNISA provides, allowing me to balance my studies with other commitments.
There are a few challenges that comes with distance learning. Communication between students and faculty can be challenging, and responses to queries or assignment feedback sometimes take longer than expected but besides that I would recommend UNISA to anyone looking for a flexible and affordable way to study while working. The program equips you with practical knowledge and skills that can be applied in real-world scenarios.
View moreI have had a great experience studying at Unisa because I can easily do anything at my convenient time while studying. I can get part-time jobs and still study. I don’t have to leave home for classes instead I just join the zoom classes instead.
View moreUNISA is an open distance learning institute and with its e-learning services and tools, it has made it simple and easy for students to succeed in their studies. The university is going to lengths to ensure that its students are well equipped with e-learning services and also offers counselling to those who are finding it difficult to cope with their studies. It offers so much more that you get to enjoy the full experience of being an online uni student.
View moreThe first year was great and going well it was in 2020.Then covid hit to be honest didn’t cope well due to everything was based online and at the time i didn’t own a laptop i was dependent on the university’s computer lamp, because of everything based online i struggled resulting in failing half of the modules i registered that year.Due to load-shedding(power) crisis in south africa you have to race against time for everything assignments, teams class and their websites always shutting down, example when i study at night its good for me but now with their website because everything is online its rare to have hard copies of the module, sometimes i wake up there’s no electricity or the websites is down.Just like now the system is down i can’t do my portfolio so those are the difficulties of studying online at UNISA if they can fix their sytems i believe they can accommodate everyone.
