I love how contact classes are conducted because I learn a lot better than in online classes. The lectures are always available to help, it doesn’t matter the time and everyone I’ve met on campus including the staff they were kind enough to help me with anything including directions to classes since I didn’t know my classes at first. I love everything about NWU.

The university is very inclusive and has a dynamic culture which seeks to be beneficial to all. My only issue with the university was the fact that it’s Afrikaans dominant but overall it’s a great place to learn

The lecturers genuinely care about the success of their students, even if that support sometimes feels inconsistent. I also loved how NWU allowed me to challenge myself through opportunities like short courses and the Tertiary Math Olympiad.

However, I dislike the noticeable difference between the Potchefstroom and Mahikeng campuses. Even though they’re part of the same university, it felt like they operated differently, especially in terms of exams. The Potchefstroom exams were much more challenging compared to Mahikeng, which created an imbalance.

Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at NWU and believe it provided me with a solid foundation in both academics and life. Yes, I would recommend NWU to others, as it offers a supportive environment with growth opportunities, especially if you’re willing to push yourself.

I highly recommend NWU as it gives the best quality on setting papers and I like it because of the kind lectures that we have and they interact with us students while teaching and from first year on our first class they all welcomed and thought us what to do and not do.

North West university is the type of institution that provides a professional yet friendly environment for its students. The university have different staff members from different faculties that are able to support each and every student emotionally, mentally, psychologically and even financially.

The university is a great place to be in, nice views and multicultural diversity. I only dislike the fact that Potchefstroom feels limited, not much to do here, anything you’ll need will be in your reach, the area around is safe. The professors are really supportive if you also play your part. The classes aren’t like in high school but you’ll adapt as time goes …
