The North-West University is a very aesthetically pleasing varsity from the design of its buildings to the nature surrounding it. It is such a breath of fresh air because of the amount of trees there is but they are not overwhelming, they fit right in because of the way they have been structured and they complement the scenery of the school. Walking around the university you will always find something interesting in the school. Oh! we even have a botanical garden inside the school!!

I had an immensely fulfilling and life-changing experience while doing my Honours Bachelor of Mathematics Education with a Secondary Education & Teaching concentration at North-West University. This experience equipped me to be a capable and self-assured teacher. I want to share a subjectively good assessment that effectively highlights the program’s strengths as a 2021 graduate.

The faculty was one of the program’s most outstanding features. In addition to being authorities in their domains, the professors had a strong commitment to instructing and developing the next wave of educators. Their passion and commitment were infectious, motivating me to pursue greatness in my coursework and future teaching profession.

The curriculum covered a wide range of issues in classroom management, pedagogy, and mathematics instruction. It was thorough and well-designed. I felt well-prepared for the challenges of teaching in a secondary school setting since the courses were designed to strike a mix between theory and practical application.

Moreover, the curriculum provided beneficial chances for real-world experience through teaching practica and internships. My teaching style and classroom management strategies improved as a result of these practical experiences, which gave me the chance to put the knowledge and abilities I had acquired in the classroom to use in actual teaching scenarios.

A standout feature of the course was the encouraging classroom setting. I was surrounded by people who shared my passion for mathematics and education, which fostered a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie that improved my educational experience.

All things considered, earning my honors bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from NWU was a really fulfilling experience that equipped me for a prosperous teaching career. My career path as an educator is being shaped by my illuminating and life-changing experience pursuing a Bachelor of Education at North-West University’s Potchefstroom campus. As I approach my 2026 graduation, I am reflecting on the tremendous impact NWU has had on my academic and personal growth as I wrap up my undergraduate education.

I only have good things to say about NWU – Potchefstroom. This is by far the best University to go to. You get constant support by your lectures/professors, you have an amazing student life and you create memories that will stick with you for years.

I think as far as now I think most of the classes that I’ve attended they were really productive to me and I’ve learned so much . Also the lectures are good even the environment in the classroom is good . We are able to interact with each other as students and that’s also makes things easier for me.

Imagine a place where the values are upheld from the students to the Vice Chancellor and ultimately the Chancellor. A place where an exciting opportunity is always a hug away, all you have to do is stretch your arms. The culture and diversity gives you a nostalgic homely feeling, because the environment is a home away from home. No I didn’t describe heaven, I simply just introduced you to what you should expect from the North-west university. A life stepping stool that embraces leadership in every corridor, an institution that reminds you not to be an academic giant but a social dwarf. The captivating classes cater to all your learning needs with professors who practice ethic of care, parental guidance and sometimes some tough love. When one thinks of varsity we think strictly school and academics but the North-west university will teach how to stretch your multi-tasking skills by introducing you to an epic, vibrant and safe student life. In a nutshell life truly begins at the North-west University.

I like everything about this university the different people and cultures how most people socialize and the classes lectures really does an amazing work. I love all the activities that’s taken place and a lot of opportunities it gives everyone to share their different talents

The University is diverse and is really inclusive. The Varsity tries by all means to meet our demands and is really good in accommodating students, for example,the school provides basic needs for students and that really shows that it empathizes with students. Another thing that stood out for me is the way the lectures handle the classes and incorporate the 21st century skills.

The North West University is a school where winners are made. If one could check the progress of this school’s sports in competitions one would see that we always come up on top. When it comes to the sport of rugby this university always comes on top in most games, the Eagles (name of the team) always soars high with its performance. But not only is this school great in sports only, but also in educational rankings.
