University used to be a beautiful nature reserve where you could walk from the one part of the campus till the sports department/oval and buy some cassies, but after a few years due to influence of certain political parties the university became more dangerous.

The course was had excellent professors but this also changed after a few year.

I studied several courses here but would personally not return for PhD.

It is a wonderful university named after one of the greatest people to ever walk this earth: Nelson Mandela. The university is located on a nature reserve, meaning it is surrounded by indigenous coastal forest, dunes, and wildlife. This also makes campus life peaceful and beautiful compared to an urban setting.
The university aims to adopt a humanizing pedagogy. This means that students are treated as a whole person, not just a number, which makes us feel valued.
I highly recommend the institution to everyone around the world.

Nelson Mandela University is one of the top Universities for Education in South Africa and it shows in every aspect of the department. You leave NMU having the potential to be an amazing student because those tools have been given to you to become an excelling professional.

I think that Nelson Mandela University is a fairly a good institution but there is a lot of room for improvement especially in terms of student support. It would be nice if they would cater to the less fortunate students who study there and try to make better accommodation plans for them.
