This institution is a money making business. They make student fail incessant with 4 marks and still want to make student rewrite the module. They are the worst institution in the world. They have no support and like to make empty promises. THey falsely accuse students. We you ask for evident they make you write a supplementary which give you no option to chose to write or not. They pretend to care and doesnt care about the students mental health. The exam overview imdoesnt over the topic we must study they keep on having the same exam review every year and only change the date of the review. Its difficult to communicate with lecture because they always fully booked

    Challenging but flexible

I’ve been a student at Milpark Education pursuing the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA), and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On the financial front, Milpark is pricey, and as a private institution, funding options are scarce – a significant drawback for many potential students like myself who are balancing work and study commitments. Despite the cost, I must commend Milpark’s flexibility; it’s been a lifesaver for someone juggling a full-time job and studies. The support structures are robust, tailor-made for working professionals.

The PGDA course structure is engaging, with interactive content that keeps you invested in your studies. One standout feature is the accessibility of lecturers – they’re available for consultations virtually all day; you simply book a slot with your preferred lecturer. Assessments can be done online or in-person at venues across the country, giving you choice and convenience. The staff are welcoming and proactive in addressing queries. Personally, having a dedicated Student Advisor assigned to me has been a huge plus – queries are resolved swiftly without bureaucratic red tape.

In summary, while the cost and lack of funding options are definite cons, Milpark’s flexibility, supportive staff, engaging course design, and adaptable assessment options make it a worthy consideration for working professionals wanting to upskill like myself.

Now, here’s an alternative review from a different perspective highlighting different aspects:

My Milpark Education PGDA experience has been transformative, though not without challenges. A highlight is the cutting-edge digital platform Milpark uses – it makes remote learning seamless, crucial for me balancing family and work commitments in Cape Town. Academically, the PGDA curriculum is rigorous and industry-relevant, pushing me to apply learning in practical scenarios – a big plus for career growth.

What stood out is the peer interaction opportunities Milpark fosters; online forums and group projects felt collaborative despite geographical distances. Contact sessions with lecturers are insightful and deeply enriching – they bring real-world context. However, I found module pacing quite intense at times, requiring strong self-discipline. Postgraduate admin processes were straightforward thanks to supportive staff, though communication could be sharper on occasion regarding deadlines.

Cost remains a barrier – it’s a significant investment without much external funding help as a private institution. Overall, I’d recommend Milpark PGDA for its modern approach and practical focus if you’re self-motivated and can manage the financial outlay for career advancement benefits it offers.

    Flexible but costly

I’ve had a great experience with Milpark Education’s Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) course. Although it’s a pricey option and, as a private institution, funding opportunities are limited, the flexibility and support structures have been a game-changer for me as a working professional. The course is well-structured and engaging, with lecturers available for consultations almost around the clock – just book a slot and choose your preferred lecturer.

What I appreciate most is the flexibility to balance work and studies. The online learning platform is user-friendly, and I can access all materials, activities, and assessments at my convenience. Plus, I have the option to write assessments online or at various venues across the country.

The support team is fantastic, and I’ve been assigned a dedicated Student Advisor who helps me navigate any queries quickly. There’s no red tape; it’s all about getting things done efficiently. The community aspect is also great, with opportunities to connect with fellow students and lecturers through Viva Engage.

If you’re considering the PGDA course at Milpark, I’d say it’s worth the investment. The SAICA accreditation and reputation of the institution open doors in the accounting world. Just be prepared for the financial commitment, and plan accordingly ¹.
