My experience at the University of KwaZulu-Natal has been both enriching and challenging in a positive way. UKZN has provided me with a strong academic foundation while also encouraging independence, critical thinking, and personal growth. The learning environment is diverse and exposes you to different perspectives, which has helped me grow both academically and socially.

i entered university at the age of 18. i was “wet behind the ears” as it were. i was young but i was open to expriences. it was my first time staying alone and i was soley in control of my finences. i learnt the value of a dollar(rands in my country). the friends i made are still my friends (that should tell you something). most of my traits were developed during this time. i started drinking, i lost my varginity and i achived high marks. i understood what it meant to push yourself to reach a certain goal. the friends i made were there for support and motivation. i really enjoyed my biology classes. the professor was a jokester, he really knew how to make you love what you were learning

I liked UKZN for its diverse campus culture, strong academic support, and practical learning environment. The lecturers were approachable, resources accessible, and it encouraged critical thinking. The academic papers coming out of UKZN was good enough to compete with world renowned universities.

University of KwaZulu Natal is one of the best universities in the country for me. They made getting in and studying an easy journey for especially when I came in as a first year student. From accepting the offer, registration process, resident allocation and how to manoeuvre lecture venues as soon as studying commenced. There were people allocated to help with all these. I also had small problems with financial aid at the beginning and the financial advisors helped me greatly. The life at campus was also great and there were tools available to help those who didn’t have their own, like computer lans for those who didn’t have laptops. The only issue that stood out as a problem was the strikes which happened almost every beginning of each year during my stay

The University of Kwa-Zulu Natal is a phenomenal institution that offers all fields of study to students and strives to ensure that the students need are met. They also encourage youth empowerment and offers job opportunities for mostly final year students.
